Step-by-step tutorial on how to cut up an old desk.

As promised: here's a tutorial on how to cut a desk in half to make two end tables with drawers.

What you 100% need:
  • old desk
  • hand saw of sorts
  • rubber mallet (it just helps but isn't required if you're strong)
  • time
  • sand paper or sander
  • solid piece of wood for the top (got mine from home depot--they cut it)
If you want to shnazz it up:
  • new handles
    • I used metal cording from Lowes. It's about 25 cents a foot. I probably used 3 feet max for this project.
    • You'll also need a staple gun if you go with my way
  • wood stripper
  • paint
  • polyurethane for the "natural" wood
